Hearing aids are expensive and as you age hearing loss is more prevalent. Many people can't afford hearing aids and go without them. They can't hear and miss out on many things because of it. Here is a great article about why health insurance doesn't cover them and is trying to be done to change that.

Remember if you have purchase hearing aid, schedule them on your home policy. That way if something happens, you don't have to worry about if you can afford replacement.
